Each year, 1.5 million students enter the National Merit Scholarship competition by taking the PSATs. Of those, 50,000 qualify to move on in the competition, eventually becoming either commended scholars or semifinalists. That's 3%. At HHNE, 19% of our juniors taking the PSATs--six times the national average--have qualified! Congratulations to juniors Elan Ganeles, Avigayil Halpern, and Eliana Yashgur on recently receiving this recognition. Find out more and order tickets for this year's Cultural Arts Night, featuring the play Sandbag, Stage Left, musical and video presentations, an art display, and a dessert reception. This year the event will be held at the Mandell JCC.   |
