Ways to Support HHNE:

The Annual Campaign
The Annual Campaign is the core of the school's yearly fundraising plan. These gifts are for operating expenses that include the day to day needs of the school. Teacher salaries, professional development, and student financial assistance are the main priorities of this campaign. Tuition alone does not cover educating a child at HHNE, and no child is turned away due to inability to pay. We encourage 100% fundraising participation and capability giving from our parent body and board, and we offer various fundraisers for our families as well as the entire Jewish community to support. Holiday mail appeals, a fall raffle, and a scholarship dinner and ad journal are the pillars of our Annual Campaign. A gift or multiple gifts in any amount throughout the year are greatly appreciated and tremendously help to support the Annual Campaign. HHNE contribution cards are available and all proceeds benefit the Annual Campaign. Packets of 6 cards for $25 can be purchased or individual cards can be sent out from the school. This is a wonderful and meaningful way to acknowledge a special occasion of a family member, friend or colleague.

The Capital Campaign
Currently located in the Agudas Achim Synagogue in West Hartford, the school will shortly have a permanent site. We have embarked on an aggressive $6 million Capital Campaign and have raised over $4 million. In partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford Community Capital Campaign, our plans are to become part of the newly expanded JCC Campus. Various capital naming opportunities are available for our new school building through the Capital Campaign. Honor a family name, an individual, or the memory of a loved one through this meaningful and life long dedication.

The Endowment Campaign
The Endowment Campaign at HHNE is growing and generates income through wise investment of the principal. Endowments have been established in all three communities: Springfield, Hartford and New Haven. Building a strong endowment for the school will solidify its financial security in the future. Donors to the Endowment Campaign understand the importance of establishing a legacy that will be used for generations to come. Donors may name a program of their personal choice. A scholarship fund, a community service/tikun olam fund, or a named chair for our Judaic or General Studies courses are a few of the important funds that the school is currently seeking to establish. Legacy gifts can be set up in several ways. A trust, a bequest in your will, a private family foundation or a life insurance policy are just a few options that will provide for the needs of the future and ensure quality and vibrant Jewish education in our communities.

Gifts postmarked by December 31 are fully tax deductible for that year.
