Dear parents of students who have expressed interest in playing Frisbee.
This year, we plan on beginning our Frisbee season earlier so we can have more practice time to prepare for competition. At this time our coach, Shawn Stanco, who is returning for a second year, is coaching his basketball team in their conference playoffs and is not certain when he will be available to begin Frisbee practices. The first practice may be as early as Tuesday, March 6. It will not be later than Tuesday, March 20th.The Frisbee team will meet for practices after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tuesday practices will run from 5:00-7:00pm and Wednesday practices wil lrun from 5:45-7:45pm. Practices will either be conducted at HHNE or at the field at Hebrew Academy. More information will be forthcoming.
Currently there are 4 Frisbee matches scheduled against other local area schools. These are the matches that have been scheduled thus far:
1) Thursday, April 19th @ The MacDuffie School – 5:00pm. 66 School Street, Granby, MA 01033
2) Thursday, April 26th @ Xavier High School – 4:30pm. 181 Randolph Road, Middletown, CT 06457
3) Tuesday, May 1st @ The MacDuffie School – 5:00pm. 66 School Street, Granby, MA 01033
4) Wednesday, May 16th @ Xavier High School – 5:00pm. 181 Randolph Road, Middletown, CT 06457 I am still working on scheduling another match. When that happens I will let you know.
